Mantap!
Ternyata sudah 1 tahun lewat blog ini tidak diupdate. Apakah kemampuan menulis berbanding lurus dengan waktu luang? Hmmm.. tampak cuma alasan kosong saja. Kesibukan [bekerja] seharusnya tidak mengurangi kekreatifan dalam menulis. Jadi, semoga saja postingan pancingan ini menjadi awal untuk aktif menulis lagi.

Itulah yang saya rasakan. Ga ada ide buat ngupdate blog. Padahal isu-isu baru terus bermunculan. Ga ada hasrat untuk menggombal. Padahal kemaren-kemaren nonton Shakespeare In Love.
Entahlah. Semoga ini ga berlangsung lama.

Apa kata pencarian terkonyol yang pernah Anda ketikkan di mesin pencari (search engine)? Bukan cuma buat iseng tapi Anda memang benar-benar mencari definisi/informasi kata itu.
Dua hari yang lalu saya senyum-senyum sendiri melihat statistik blog ini di Blog Stats bawaan WordPress. Di bagian Search Engine Terms saya menemukan kata yang ga pernah saya sangka sama sekali bakal membawa orang ke blog ini.
cara onani? alamak!
Yap, kata yang saya temukan adalah “cara onani”! 
Setelah saya cari, ternyata memang ada kata “onani” di blog ini, tepatnya di postingan tentang radio. Tapi yang bikin saya penasaran, “ni orang beneran cari informasi gimana caranya onani??” Nyang boneng ajah! Masa ga bisa mengeksplor sendiri sih?? Ups… sudahlah jangan dibahas terlalu jauh. 
If you’ve already watched the bended-bullet-trajectory assasin movie Wanted, then you’ll know what I mean with the question above. I have tried it myself. For “Robi Suptaji” Google returned 7 pages. But nothing important though. Most of them are text from my friend’s blog that link to this blog. The rest are email archives that I sent to mailing-list that I actively watch(ed).
One thing that surprised me is that Google listed my blog at Blogger which I built just a few days ago as the first-top list rather than this blog which is older and has more articles. I have two guesses for this Google behaviour. First, It’s because Blogger is owned by Google and they sets Google-bot to crawl their own services as its top priority. Or maybe because my Blogger blog has word “Robi Suptaji” in its title which has highest relevance to my search. I think the last one is the best guess. So, if you want your blog be the top-first list when you type your name in Google search, try to include your name in your blog’s title or description.
Yap, judul di atas saya ambil dari serial Suami-Suami Takut Istri (SSTI) yang ditayangkan di Trans TV. Gak, saya ga akan ngomongin soal “ih, ga banget sih! suami ko takut istri?!”.
Yang akan saya soroti adalah tokoh-tokoh suami (pria) di serial SSTI ini. Mari kita urai satu-satu. Pertama adalah Sarmili (Pak RT), orang Betawi. Kedua mas Karyo, orang Jawa tentunya. Ketiga bang Tigor, Batak yang pasti mah. Keempat Faisal, yang ini berperan sebagai orang Padang. Dan yang terakhir, mang Dadang, urang Sunda mun ditingali tina ngaranna mah.
Terus kenapa dengan tokoh-tokoh itu?
Mang Dadang, tokoh terakhir yang saya sebut, berperan sebagai satpam. Saya ga tau pasti profesi keempat tokoh lainnya. Tapi yang pasti dari kelima tokoh itu mang Dadang lah yang berprofesi paling kuli (maaf, saya ga bermaksud menafikan profesi satpam) dan selalu jadi kacung buat keempat tokoh lainnya. Heran, kenapa orang Sunda yang dalam SSTI ini diwakili oleh Mang Dadang, selalu kebagian peran sebagai “orang kecil”. Coba aja perhatiin di sitkom-sitkom lain atau mungkin sinetron (maaf ga ngikutin sinetron), orang Sunda tuh selalu kebagian peran jadi orang suruhan atau jadi bahan tertawaan orang. Kalo ga salah di serial OB ada tokoh baru yang jadi office boy, orang Sunda juga!
Separah itukah imej orang Sunda? Atau karena logat orang Sunda itu lucu? Ga memperlihatkan kewibawaan? Ga pantes kalo meranin orang penting? Atau mungkin karakter Kabayan yang pamalesan, kabeukina ngudud jeung ngopi bari gulaha-gelehe di buruan udah melekat di pikiran orang sebagai imej orang Sunda?
Ok, maybe it’s time for me to write something about my Ubuntu 8.04 (Hardy Heron) desktop since I’ve been using Ubuntu for the last two months without having a single boot to my old-not genuine-shameful Windows XP.
Well, what I’m gonna write is not really a Hardy issue. It’s about Rhythmbox (Ubuntu default music player) and Pidgin (instant messaging program for linux) and Pidgin-Rhythmbox plugin.
Back to the time when I used Yahoo!Messenger while listening my favorite music in Windows Media Player, I usually show off (yeah, people like to show off) the song I’m listening in Y!M status. It can automatically be done with a WMP plugin that connects to Y!M. When I switched to Ubuntu and found Pidgin and Rhythmbox, I start wondering how can I do the “show off” with these two programs. Fortunately, nowadays Google never fails me, soon after I fill the form search with “pidgin rhythmbox plugin” and hit the button, Google show me Jon Oberheide web page, the author of Pidgin-Rhythmbox plugin.
It didn’t take much time since I search the plugin until I actually show off my current listening song in Rhythmbox to Pidgin status.
